NEPSE Weekly Recap (April 27 - May 3): 2,738.72 | Another Week of Decline

Another week has gone by. This week also saw only four trading days because of May 1 (Buddha Jayanti and May day, Labor day) holiday in Nepal. So, the market was open Monday to Thursday for four days. On Monday, the index did start off with some hope as it gained 7.73 points (0.28%).

NEPSE Weekly Recap (Apr 20–26): 2,788.70 (-1.75%) | Hydropower Sector grabs Interest

This week was a turbulent week for our NEPSE Index. The four days (Monday - Thursday) saw a downturn in the market index points. Only on Friday the market was able to keep its head above water by a mere 1.55(0.06%) points. The trading volumes were slightly lower than what we are used to seeing.

NEPSE Changes the Price Fluctuation Limit to 15% and Other Major Changes

NEPSE along with approval from SEBON has paved the path for some major changes in how we trade stocks. The bylaws titled Securities Trading Operation (fourth amendment), 2082 introduces these new changes. These rules come in effect from today 20 April 2026.
