NEPSE Weekly Recap (April 27 - May 3): 2,738.72 | Another Week of Decline

Another week has gone by. This week also saw only four trading days because of May 1 (Buddha Jayanti and May day, Labor day) holiday in Nepal. So, the market was open Monday to Thursday for four days. On Monday, the index did start off with some hope as it gained 7.73 points (0.28%). But that was it for the week as the other three days only saw downfall. Tuesday and Wednesday, the index saw the most downfall and the trend continued to Thursday too. So, investors actually lost a total market capitalization of Rs. 8,524.74 Crores.

In February, the market went as low as 2614.55 points. It went up to 2960.40 on election news. And now, the market is fluctuating under the election high and it went as low as 2676.68 on the 5th of April.
